A true Cutter himself, John James hales from Bloomington IN, the fabled town from the movie Breaking Away and home of the Little 500. John started racing on the road and track in 1992. By 1995 he was a Cat 2 and racing across Midwest. John has raced Athens Twilight, Downers Grove and Super Week multiple times. In 1997, he moved to Greenville SC, looking for better weather and training. John’s lengthy resume includes State Championship wins in Indiana and South Carolina. He now races in Masters 35+ and Category 3 races. John manages Sunshine Cycle Shop and is married to Catherine James who races for the Kenda Southeast team. They are the proud parents of future cycling phenom Hannah.
